Allie Richards

Allie is the owner & principal photographer of Allie Richards Photography. She's happy to be a year-round resident of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and has been shooting landscapes and weddings for over ten years.

When she isn't behind the camera, you can find her selling her vibrant landscapes at art shows and festivals across New England, teaching photo workshops and tours, or working as a web manager for other local businesses. She's a fan of traveling the world, and her photography has taken her across the United States, Iceland, Norway, The Faroe Islands, The Azores, parts of Europe, and more. She has been published by the U.S. National Parks Service & Cape Cod Life magazine, and was awarded the PRC Student Image Award for their Boston gallery in 2013.

The Process

All images are either shot in Aperture Priority or Manual mode in the Nikon RAW format using Nikon mirrorless cameras. Lenses most commonly used include the Tamron 15-30 f/2.8, Sigma 35 f/1.4, or Nikkor 50 f/1.8. Neutral density filters are sometimes used during daytime shooting to create long exposures. Images are processed in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to correct exposure, contrast, and color. No elements are added that are not naturally-occurring.
